Dear Delegates,
It is my honor and pleasure to invite you to Ohio State’s first iteration of our collegiate conference BuckMUN held at THE Ohio State University. Model UN at Ohio State has had more than a profound impact on my development both professionally and socially and I couldn't imagine my college experience without it being ever present each semester. It is for that reason that I and so many others here at OSU decided hosting our own collegiate level conference would serve as an opportunity to provide that same setting which encourages growth as both a delegate and a person. For our first year of BuckMUN, expect a wide range of committee topics and mechanics that our Chairs and Crisis Directors have been brainstorming and planning for months. And of course, we promise riveting debate, attentive and quality staffing, and support from our Secretariat team before, during and after the conferences set dates. Outside of committee, OSU Model UN has worked hard to curate amazing “outside of committee” socials for delegates as well as time and opportunities to explore what Columbus has to offer. Our goal is to ensure you leave BuckMUN feeling fulfilled and excited to see your staff and other fellow delegates again on the circuit. My name is Luke McCarthy and I'm a third year International Relations student specializing in Intelligence & Security. I've been doing MUN for about five years and have competed on the collegiate Circuit for OSU as well as served as Chief of Staff for our OSUMUN (our high school conference). Outside of MUN, I enjoy going to the gym, playing video games, scuba diving, and enjoying the nightlife OSU has to offer. What makes me most excited about BuckMUN is getting the opportunity to show other people what OSU has to offer both pertaining and not pertaining to MUN related activities.

My name is Aliah Osman and I’m a third year International Studies student specializing in Security & Intelligence! This is my third year in MUN, with about three years in debate experience before college. Prior to BUCKMUN, I served as our MUN team’s PR Coordinator. Outside of MUN, I love reading, exploring new restaurants, and learning guitar. What makes me excited about BUCKMUN is the ability to give everyone a chance to experience the magic of Columbus and the incredible talent of the OSU team.

My name is Jackson Holbrook and I’m a third year student studying Political Science. I have been doing MUN for six years and have competed on the collegiate circuit for three of them. Besides serving as BuckMUN’s USG, I’m also the Financial Director for the OSU MUN team. Outside of MUN, I like traveling, hanging out with friends, and watching Star Wars movies. What makes me most excited about BuckMUN is having both interesting committees and exciting social events for all dels to enjoy. Can’t wait to see you here!

My name is Arya Gadre and I’m a Third Year student studying Political Science and Economics. I have been doing debate since freshman year of high school, but this is my second year in MUN. I am currently Crisis Trainer for the OSU MUN team, and I am excited to be able to work on bringing Ohio State’s first BUCKMUN to the collegiate circuit. Aside from MUN, I love art and spend a lot of my free time drawing, crafting, reading, and exploring Columbus with my friends. For BUCKMUN, I really want people to just have fun, both in and outside of committee. Ohio State has such a warm, welcoming, and fun atmosphere that I can’t wait for everyone to experience!

My name is Leila Hollis and I’m a Second Year studying History and Economics. This is my second year in MUN, and I competed in debate for four years prior to college. I’m currently our MUN team’s PR Coordinator and am so excited to be a part of BUCKMUN as well. Outside of MUN I love watching movies, playing tennis, and any DIY craft. I’m so excited that BUCKMUN will give everyone a chance to see the spirit at OSU while also experiencing unique and awesome committees. Go bucks!

My name is Tiffany Tovesson and I am a second year Environmental Engineering student with an interest in climate policy. I have been doing Model UN since my junior year of high school. Last year I was on the exec for Ohio State's high school MUN conference (OSUMUN) and am looking forward to create a great atmosphere for our college conference as well. In my free time I love learning languages, spending time outdoors, and travelling. We are so excited to welcome you to our campus in the spring, and can't wait to see what you all bring to our committees!
